Riddle me this, why is that women (and even some men) are willing to risk potentially fatal side effects all in the name of fairer skin? 
We have all contributed to a culture in which abuse against women is common and in which our attitudes excuse or encourage violence. 
As far as celebrities go, Africa has seen its fair share of American star power. Music heavyweights such as Lady Gaga, Linkin Park, Usher and even the late, great Whitney Houston are all members of a globe trotting crew that have traveled to the motherland for sold out shows at one point or another.
