The singer has announced "The Liberation Tour" (Live Nation), accompanied by Mary J. Blige. The tour will take place in Europe and in the U.S.
While many people were waiting to see D'Angelo's return, they quickly realized the man did not lose his voice.
D’Angelo started his set off with his smash hit “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” - sans his infamous washboard abs - and also debuted new music for the crowd!
Returning to music by doing shows overseas, D'Angelo is ready to kick his career back into high gear at this year's BET Awards. 
"I've been waiting 12 years to say this -- ladies and gentlemen, D'Angelo!" That's how Questlove introduced his dear friend to the stage at the Bonnaroo Festival earlier today.
After battling addiction, court cases and some not-so-flattering mug shots, the R&B singer is making something like a comeback in the June issue of GQ Magazine. 
Amazingly, it's been 10 years since the great D'Angelo performed in the United States. That will change on July 6.
