Despite an incriminating video, Gunplay has been cleared of armed robbery and aggravated assault after robbing his accountant, Turron Woodside, at gunpoint. The case was dismissed because the accountant refuses to cooperate with authorities to convict the "Rollin" rapper.  
One of the things we love about rappers is how blunt they are. It can make for some epic quotes and for some epic misfires. 
Yesterday MMG rapper Gunplay was tweeting up a storm about the terrible Newtown tragedy, in which a crazed man went into an elementary school and shot 20 children and six adults. 
The rapper spoke with us exclusively via Skype while on house arrest awaiting a new court date and working on his mixtape Cops and Robbers, while simultaneously focusing on his debut solo album Medellin, due out next year.
The other day, Saigon, whose sophomore album, The Greatest Story Never Told Chapter 2: Bread And Circuses, dropped this past Tuesday, was on the Breakfast Club on Power 105. While on the show, Saigon discussed the lack of consciousness that's within hip-hop.

Even though the judge agreed to let him be put on house arrest, the MMG rapper couldn't be any happier about his consequence ... since it means he can still have sex!
Maybach Music Rapper Gunplay, real name Richard Morales, was given a $150,000 bond along with house arrest in court today, according to his attorney.
During the segment, CBS aired footage of a crazed Gunplay, real name Robert Morales, confronting an employee at a local tax business back in April.
It's a wrap for Gunplay! The MMG rapper has turned himself into Miami-Dade Police for an assault and robbery charge stemming from earlier this year.
After his camp had a very hands on altercation with MMG rapper Gunplay during the taping of the BET Hip Hop Awards, 50 is now flaunting his victory by wearing Gunplay's chain around town! 
It hasn't been a great couple weeks for MMG artist and newly signed Def Jam rapper Gunplay, as reports are circulating that the Miami Dade County native will turn himself in for armed robbery and assault charges.
On Monday, Gunplay called into the Breakfast Club and broke down what happened, saying he went up against a number of G-Unit members by himself, losing his chain in the process.  We heard Gunplay's side, now here's G-Unit's. 
After revealing it was 50's security team who beat him down in the parking lot, Gunplay went a step further, calling into Harvey Levin and our friends over at TMZ to elaborate on this weekend's incident. 
Ross is a leader, a bawse, and a great musician who makes incredible music. But yet again, Maybach Music Group is involved in another hip-hop beef that overshadows everything they do on wax.
