For those of you who are into sneakers, the Air Jordan Spiz’ike is nothing new to you. Ever since its release in 2006, these kicks has been a hit among sneaker lovers all over the world, the main reason being that the Spiz’ike is one sneaker made up of six other iconic Air Jordans.

For those who don’t know, the Air Jordan Spiz’ike is made up of the Jordan III (midsole), Jordan IV (Wings), Jordan V (Uppers), Jordan VI (Tongue) and Jordan IX (Pull Tab). Also every Air Jordan Spiz’ike has the Jordan rising sun logo at the heel which was originally on the Jordan IX, and last but not least, the Jordan XX (Laser on the inside liner).

The name of the shoe is also a mashup of Spike Lee’s name with Michael Jordan’s in an effort to pay homage to all of the work that the Brooklyn director has done with the Air Jordan brand over the years.

For those that watch NBA Basketball, you know that Spike is often a staple on the New York Knicks courtside. During Game 3 of the 2001 NBA playoffs between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics, the sneaker world was abuzz with what Spike had on his feet. The orange colored “New York Knick” Spiz’ike that the director was wearing were unlike anything we had ever seen and was thought to be a PE (player exclusive) just like the blue version of the shoe that he later wore in Game 4 of the series.

You will be glad to know that on November 5th for $175 you will be able to own your own pair of New York Knick edition Spiz’ikes. Both colors will be available on the same day at your local Jordan Brand retailer.

Each New York Knicks Jordan Spiz’ike features sort of a reverse color scheme to the other. One pair owns a blue ribbon colored suede base with minimal orange flash hints and multiple black elements throughout the upper. The other contains the same texture makeup, but in a mainly orange flash upper.
