New York KnickCarmelo Anthonywas honored by the Fresh Air Fund in New York last night.
The hard hitting forward was recognized with The Salute To American Heroes award by the environmentally conscious non profit in a ceremony at Pier 60, hosted by Anne Curry.
His wife La La Vasquez, looking stunning in purple, was dressed in a one shouldered Halston Heritage dress and tweeted how proud she was of his achievement.
“So proud of my babe @carmeloanthony getting an American Heroes Award tonight at the Fresh Air Fund event!!” she wrote.
Also in attendance were Olivia Wilde, Anne Curry and Tommy Hilfiger, to name three.
