With Kobe Bryant fresh off his 4th title he draws more and more comparisons to Basketballs G.O.A.T (greatest of all time) Michael Jordan. But I figured I’d take it a step further and not just compare their 4th championship stats but their 4th championship footwear.

Air Jordan XI

Known as the “Comeback Sneaker” the Air Jordan XI was designed while MJ was whiffing at sliders and 90 mph fastballs with Chicago’s minor league Baron’s organization. Condura nylon upper and a patent leather mid and toe box made this sneaker the most classy performance sneaker on the market to date. With a retail price of $175 in 1995 this shoe was heavy in the game as well as in pocket.

Kobe Zoom IV

For the 2008-2009 season Kobe Bryant did the unthinkable, switched to a low top sneaker. With Bryant being such an avid soccer fan he figured that if soccer players can run, cut, kick and drive in low tops that he could too. The results, an 11.6-ounce shoe, that’s 1.4 ounces lighter than the Hyperdunk he wore last year. At $120 the proof was in the Ring and the Finals MVP trophy he put in the office next to the Olympic Gold.
