Peggy Noonan has been raging against young people in the past couple days, the facebook youth, the twitter nation and all the political bloggers. The Wall Street Journal columnist recently wrote ‘You know what the world’s problem is? All these darn kids running countries’.
Noonan has a problem with young people, she remembers a time when the country only listened to wise men instead now we listen to the young and sparkling who don’t learn lessons from the past. Peep Noonan’s break down;
‘The problem in the US is that we stopped letting old wise men counsel us when they steered us wrong in Vietnam.’
‘But we learned the wrong lesson. We should have learned, ‘Wise men can be wrong, listen close and weigh all data.’ Instead we learned, ‘Never listen to wise men,’ and ‘Only the young and sparkling, not enthralled by the past, can lead us.” Which is too bad, because ‘this is a nation—a world—badly in need of adult supervision.’
Noonan is most definitely a shook one, unfortunately young people produced change in 2008, it was the young folks that will change the world. Some are misguided but their intentions are only for good.

Noonan goes in on the facebook nation peep what she had to say:
On the Internet, you read the fierce posts of political and ideological writers and wonder, Why do so many young bloggers sound like hyenas laughing in the dark? Maybe it’s because there’s no old hand at the next desk to turn and say, ‘Son, being an enraged, profane, unmoderated, unmediated, hit-loving, trash-talking rage monkey is no way to go through life.’
Their probably angry because old people messed things up so bad that their future looks bleak, young writers, bloggers, political pundits and progressives will always voice their opinions when they see something is wrong. When people, especially young people, feel they are being held back, expect a reaction. You may not like the reaction but that’s our vigor.
No need to be afraid or shy away from the young folk, we want the same things you want Ms. Noonan, it just seems that you old folks just get in the way with your b.s.
