Yes, we said it, Diggy Simmons is the hottest 90′s baby. Don’t sleep on this upcoming artist or overlook him because of his family history. Also, his age may mislead you but his talent at this stage in the game should impress you. Diggy Simmons, son of hip hop pioneer “Rev Run” (Joseph Simmons) has hit the underground music scene running with a series of serious music that have continually silenced skeptics.
Diggy’s first mix-tape, The First Takeoff released December 2, 2009 (produced by Black the Beast, Young Jerz, Natural Disaster and Neako) featured artists such as Lil Twist of Young Money, Grammy-nominated Karina Pasian and singer Khalil. The result of the successful mix-tape release was a record deal with Atlantic Records on his fifteenth birthday, March 21, 2010.
Almost a year later, Diggy is releasing his second mix-tape AirBorne which should be released later this fall. Diggy has recently collaborated with Lupe Fiasco & Pharrell on his new song “Oh Yeah!” which will be on AirBorne.
