I’m not exaggerating when I say that 99% of the guys I meet and exchange numbers with ALWAYS ask me to send them pics. My old blackberry didn’t have a camera so it was an easy escape, but now I’m stuck with this predicament I can’t avoid. Is it OK to sext? I’m aware that half the population does it, but I have this fear that those pictures will undoubtedly come out at some point in my life. Who are these guys to think it’s cool to ask me to send pictures of myself when we just met. Is this a new part of the “getting to know each other” process? I can read in between the lines, I know the kind of pictures they want.

I’m not going to lie, I do like a good naked picture myself. Maybe it’s not fair but I’m just not cool with reciprocating. The offer is tempting because I love some excitement but I’m still not convinced. I know Rihanna has been quoted as saying “if you don’t send naked pictures to your boyfriend then I feel bad for him.” This makes me confused as to what the right thing to do is.

Yes, it’s sexy that she sent Chris Brown naked pictures when they were dating, but it wasn’t sexy when they were exposed for the whole world to see. I mean I didn’t mind getting to see Rihanna naked, but if I were her I wouldn’t have been happy about it. Most celebrities do end up getting exposed and that’s something that stays with you forever. On one hand it could be a great career booster but on the other hand are you really OK with the whole world seeing your goods?

If you do send promiscuous pictures to your boyfriend, crush, significant other, or maybe just to randoms for fun you’re among good company. Miley Cyrus, Cassie, Rihanna, Vanessa Hudgens, Adrienne Bailon and Trina have all done it and I would bet these aren’t the only celebs that fit into this category.
