Feeling nostalgic? Well, GlobalGrind is taking you on a trip down music memory lane with Noon Nostalgia. Everyone loves reminiscing about the past, especially when it comes to music.

Today, unfortunately marks the 17th anniversary of rock legend and Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain’s suicide death. Kurt Cobain and his Nirvana band members found breakthrough mainstream success with their hit song “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” which hit the airwaves in 1991.

During his last years, Kurt suffered from an addiction to heroin and struggled with depression as well as personal issues. Kurt’s depression was said to be a result of the pressure he faced due to his new found fame and deep-rooted issues stemmed from his childhood. Kurt married rock starlet Courtney Love in 1992 and the couple had their daughter Francis Bean Cobain shortly after. In honor of Kurt, GlobalGrind wanted to post the most recognizable Nirvana record. RIP Kurt.
