(EDITOR’S NOTE: Denise Vasi, who for three and a half years starred in “All My Children,” gives GlobalGrind an exclusive statement about the show’s ending.)
My sadness is for my crew and the fans. All the men and women who are losing their jobs due to the show’s cancellation. They have families to support, it’s absolutely heartbreaking!
The fans … My God, they are just so emotionally devastated and outraged. There is no other fan like a soap opera fan. They are die-hard. Committed to everything we do. I feel bad for them because I know they feel like they are losing a piece of their own lives.
I feel so blessed to have been a part of iconic television history and to have had 3+ wonderful years working alongside so many amazing people. We have built friendships that will last a lifetime and that alone is priceless.
I am so thankful for everything “All My Children” brought to my life.
