Last night, The Hammerstein Ballroom was filled with men and women all gathering to support one cause: Mary J Blige’s charity, FFAWN, to help fund programs to empower women to reach their full potential.
The night was hosted by Mary J and emceed by Queen Latifah, with special performances including Christina Aguilera, Corrine Bailey Rae, Jill Scott, Jennifer Hudson, Anita Baker and Mary J. Kerry Washington donned Gucci, Christina Aguilera was in Valentino, Jennifer Hudson wore Victoria Beckham and Corrine Bailey Ray were just a few of the best dressed in attendance. These women captivated the audience by delivering heart-felt performances, concluding with an unforgettable duet with Anita Baker and Mary J Blige. Several FFAWN scholarship recipients were also recognized, who shared their stories about how the program changed their lives.
Belvedere, for the second year in a row, sponsored the cocktails throughout the evening by serving two bespoke cocktails that fit perfectly with the night: The FFoenix Sparkler and Diva FFizz.
Blige was dressed in head to toe Gucci and made several outfit changes throughout the evening. She arrived in a silk gold cocktail dress with plunging neckline and performed in a color-block blue dress.
The atmosphere was decorated by designer Donna Karan, whose Urban Zen Foundation also supported FFAWN.
