WHAT: Music mogul/rapper Jay-Z “Own(ed) The Night” for his Adult Swim performance last night at Roseland Ballroom. Jigga man performed a set of his hit songs before bringing out his homie and fellow rapper/producer Swizz Beatz for their song “On To The Next One.” If you’re wondering why Adult Swim and Jay-Z are collaborating, it’s because Jay is working a deal with Adult Swim to produce an animated series. Score! Jay sure knows how to work a deal.

HAND CLAP CHRONICLES: Plan B

WHAT: British singer/rapper Plan B was crowned king of the 2011 Ivor Novello Awards after picking up three top honors, including Songwriter of the Year. The London-born star, real name Ben Ballance-Drew, took home the most coveted gong at the prestigious event and also scooped Best Album for “The Defamation of Strickland Banks.”
