They may have been snubbed as guests at Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding earlier this month, but President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama held their perfectly coiffed heads high during a State Banquet with the Queen at Buckingham Palace last night.

Mrs. O  looked elegant in a floor length ivory gown designed by Tom Ford, while President Obama wore a white bow tie and dark tails.

Our nation’s first couple were in the UK for a tour of Ireland a year after volcanic ash from Iceland canceled their trip. The Obamas attended a dinner in the palace ballroom, a cavernous red-carpeted space with white walls and gilded trim.

Approximately 170 guests joined the Obama’s for dinner including Britain’s prime minister, senior royalty, ambassadors, business leaders and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and actors such as Tom HanksKevin Spacey, and Helena Bonham-Carter.

After the break, more of Mr. & Mrs. O at Buckingham Palace!
