What VH1 would call a coincidence, we call purposely planned! VH1’s new show “Single Ladies,” dealt with the topic of cheating politicians last night.
It’s ironic that in the wake of Anthony Weiner‘s Twitter controversy, the show deals with a similar situation.
One of the show’s main characters, April Goldberg-Jenkins (played by Charity Shea) cheats on her husband with the mayor (played by Common). When the media finds out about their secret affair, they go on a rampage.
Charity and Common’s characters are both married but while Common’s wife steps to Charity and tells her off, Charity’s husband kicks her out.
To add on to this crazy situation, she wasn’t the only woman he was with. Over five women came out and said he was with them as well. Even though “Single Ladies” is just a show, polticians can get caught in scandals like this any day.
Anthony Weiner didn’t physically cheat on his wife, but he did send six women pictures of different parts of his body.
Shows like “Single Ladies,” bring real situations to the TV screen!
