Darcus Howe has once again risen as the voice of the revolution in the 2011 London Riots.

On August 9, 2011 he was interviewed by the British Broadcasting Company’s (BBC) presenter Fiona Armstrong, who repeatedly cut him off as he tried to express his grievances and concerns over the death of Mark Duggan, 29, who was murdered by British police.

From writing to directing, Darcus has been at the forefront of London politics for more than 30 years, a stamped O.G. in the game.

Darcus Howe became a member of the British Black Panther Movement in August 1970.

Darcus was acquitted of riot, affray and assault charges as a member of the “Mangrove 9.”

Darcus Howe began his broadcasting career in 1982 on Channel 4’s television series “Black on Black.”

Darcus Howe organized the 20,000 strong Black People’s March in 1981, claiming official neglect and inefficient policing of the investigation of New Cross Fire” in which 13 black teens died.

Darcus hosted BBC’s “Devil’s Advocate” where he would critically question celebrities, politicians and public figures.

Darcus filmed a three-part series called “White Tribe” in 1999, where he travels through twentieth century England to discover why the English don’t seem to want to be English anymore.

Darcus wrote and filmed “The Gathering Storm” a documentary on Trinidad suggesting that a social explosion was imminent.

In 2004 Darcus writes and films a documentary based on newly discovered minority hatred and the changing face of racial politics in Britain. He investigated and traveled the country expressing his views on racism and found that violence and prejudice had increased between Britain’s ethnic groups.

Darcus writes and stars in a documentary called “What’s Killing Darcus Howe?” after being diagnosed with prostate cancer covering six months of his life helping to raise awareness on the disease.
