Signaling that he’s come full circle in his career, New York designer and Louis Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs closed Paris Fashion Week with an all-around amazing show.
Featuring Kate Moss, French maids, macaroons and carousels, the presentation offered an ingenious nod to the romanticism and innocence associated with the City of Light.
STORY: Marc Jacobs Say’s He’s Not Jumping To Dior
Louis Vuitton was the complete opposite of Marc’s show in March, where models wore handcuffs and practically oozed sex.
Jacobs presented a well thought out, executed and cohesive collection with exquisite colors that were light and airy like a Laduree macaroon.
The sixties, like Paris, loomed in the background as inspiration, and Jacobs’ penchant for sex was apparent in nearly every outfit: flared skirts, argyle leotards, raised skirts, flirty eyelashes, all pastels, all poof and powder of something carnal hidden under the appearance of innocence.
Newlywed Kate Moss made a rare appearance on the runway as she closed out the spectacular show wearing a fantastic white laser-cut feather dress.
