Diggy Simmons gave back to inner city youth in Chicago this past Friday night by making a surprise guest appearance at the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) Chicago benefit skate party.

Diggy arrived to a room full of screaming SYFL cheerleaders where he took pictures with athletes and staff members.

Crown World Entertainment/RCA artist Jacob Latimore also stopped by and closed his appearance with encouraging words for his peers. The two also agreed to come back to do a benefit concert to help the league.

Hip Hop Icon Snoop Dogg started the league nearly eight years ago in South Central, LA. The SYFL is now serving youth ages 7-13 in football, cheer and scholastics in three major markets, LA, Chicago and Vegas.

The Chicago division of Snoop’s league is in it’s inaugural year and was brought into the city by Entertainment Executive Tonja Styles in an effort to keep kids off the streets after the Derrion Albert tragedy. The league is wrapping up its first season in the windy city and is doing a number of fundraisers to help pay for football equipment.
