The Penn State Football program is getting a whole lot of attention right now and it isn’t over touchdowns or winning streaks.

STORY: Joe Paterno On His Way Out At Penn State

The unwanted publicity stems from sexual abuse allegations of molestation made against its former defensive assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

It is alleged that Sandusky raped a 10-year-old boy in the very showers used by the Penn State football players.

Sandusky apparently seduced the boy with promises of things like tickets to games and visits to the Penn State locker room.

STORY: SAY IT AIN’T SO! Sex Allegations Rock Penn State Football Program

A graduate assistant, also a former star quarterback and today still an assistant to beloved head coach Joe Paterno, saw it and went to his father.

His father told him to go not to the police, according to the report, but to Paterno.

Which brings in the question of a possible coverup conducted by members of the athletic department. Paterno, the legendary coach who has been at Penn State for 46 years, was the first staff member of the athletics department to be notified of the allegations.

Though Paterno has not been charged, he is still receiving a lot of heat for not putting in more of an effort to reveal the truth.

As of now, it looks like the 84-year-old Paterno is on his way out of Penn State as a result of this recent scandal.

In the next coming days, we’re sure more details will come out. For now take a look at all the players involved in this unspeakable game.

On November 4, 2011 Pennsylvania’s Attorney General indicted Jerry Sandusky (above) on 40 counts of sexual abuse.

The allegation that Sandusky had inappropriate sexual behavior with a minor over the course of 4 years was reported in 2009 by the boy’s parents.

Joe Paterno has not been charged, but many are questioning if he was morally obligated to do more than just report the incident to his subordinates.

Mike McQueary is one of the witnesses of Sandusky’s abusive incidents. At the time of the incident he was a graduate assistant and is now Penn State’s wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator.

He reported the incident he witnessed to Paterno. His involvement in the case limits his ability to speak with the media.

Tim Curley is Penn State’s former Director of Athletics who was also charged with felony perjury and failure to report the alleged sexual abuse of Sardusky to authorities after having been informed by Paterno.

Gary Schultz, Penn State’s Senior Vice President, was also charged for allegedly covering up the scandal. He too has stepped down.

Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Linda Kelly has discussed charges brought against the men involved in the child abuse scandal on Monday and encouraged all other possible victims to come forward. Like us, she is not happy about the scandal.
