Siblings and actresses Dakota and Elle Fanning light up the cover of the December issue of W magazine. And while they may look all lovey-dovey, the accompanying interview of the two beauties hints at some sibling rivalry!

The sisters were photographed by Mario Sorrenti in an ethereal spread that showcases all of fall’s hottest new fashions. But it’s not just the clothes that take center stage. These two actresses and sisters let us in on some sisterly secrets.

“She is a nice older sister. But it’s not like we always get along,” Elle shared about their typical sibling conflicts, but says that she’s missing Dakota now that they no longer live together.

“Now that she’s going to college, it’s different. I went into her room in California, and all her clothes were gone!”

At 13, Elle is the youngest of the two, but she towers over Dakota, who at 17, is a Hollywood veteran and college student at NYU.

Dakota explains why she decided to go to college:

“For the same reasons I wanted to go to a high school,’ she said. “You hear people say, ‘Oh when I was in high school’ or ‘When I was in college.’ That defines a lot of who people are, and I didn’t want to miss out on that.”
