Spin recently profiled Tyler for their December issue and even stuck the whole Odd Future gang on their cover.

In the piece, Tyler talks about the direction he wanted to go on his new album, Wolf. Tyler said he wanted to get away from some of the demonic themes and violent imagery from his earlier material, particularly his first effort entitled Goblin.

Tyler spoke pretty bluntly when he said: “Talking about rape and cutting bodies up, it just doesn’t interest me anymore.”

So what kind of music does Tyler intend on making?

“What interests me is making weird hippie music for people to get high to. With Wolf, I’ll brag a little bit more, talk about money and buying sh*t. But not like any other rapper, I’ll be a smart-ass about it.”

The profile also touched on other aspects like the closeness of the OFWGKTA click, how Tyler used social media to his advantage and the fanaticism of some of his fans.
