After a turbulent year that saw two of their members — Josh and Zac Farro — leave the band, Paramore just wants to have fun again.

MUSIC: Paramore “Hello Cold World”

That is what Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams told the Alternative Press in an exclusive interview. Paramore is still planning to release a album in 2012, but first they know they have to deal with all the questions about the split up. And they are not holding anything back.

“I felt so bad for the longest time, because we made being in a band look like it wasn’t fun,” frontwoman Hayley Williams added. “In my opinion. Other people might not have thought that, but you imagine all the interviews we did where it was just like, ‘Uhh … ‘ “

MUSIC: The New Paramore Has A “Monster” On Their Hands

The band claimed that they started having fun again while they were on tour in South America, after the break-up. Paramore’s guitarist, Taylor York, also had this to say:

“This winter, when Zac and Josh left, we went through a really hard time,” York said. “I think we had to go through that. We all love each other, but we had to come together so closely that we really rediscovered how much we really love each other — and how much we love playing music. We had to go through that to realize what we had.”

Last year, around this time Josh and Zac, who helped co-founded Paramore, parted ways with the group. Even though the split was mutual, it wasn’t happy. The two sides sent little pot shots at each other with Josh calling the group “a manufactured product of a major label.”

We’re glad to have some insight into the band and can’t wait for more music from Paramore!
