With the release of his newest album Under The Mistletoe perched at the top of the music charts, it may seem absurd for anyone to publicly question Justin Bieber’s fame and the status of his relentless career. But Justin’s performance last night at the American Music Awards had many minds pondering … is Bieber falling off?
Well see, here is the thing, there is this miraculous sensation that has occurred for every breakout child singer from Michael Jackson to Justin Bieber and all the Chris Browns and Justin Timberlakes in between, something that not a hand under the sun can cure, something elusively magically called, wait for it … puberty!

While everyone was caught up in swooning over Justin’s delectable swag and his PDA with the darling Selena Gomez, Bieber grew up! He is no longer the young boy enlisted in Usher’s swag school that crooned “Baby Baby” over a pop beat. Our little Bieber is growing into a man and out of his current niche, but that doesn’t mean he is going away.
Admittedly, Justin’s two-step was a little less coordinated than usual and his voice went on a few interesting tangents during last night’s performance, but Justin’s sheer star power will carry him through this transition stage.

JB has a secret weapon that is commonly overlooked as an average R&B singer, but Usher has the key to catapult Justin to the next level. Before you go Belieber cray saying Justin doesn’t need anyone else to make it, let’s not forget that Usher discovered mini Biebs in 2008 and a large part of who is he today is due to Usher’s hand in molding him.
Similar to Justin, Usher found fame at a young age and was singing all things sex before his reproductive organs fully developed, but it wasn’t until years later — at 19 — that “Nice and Slow” hit Number 1. And then Usher went on to make the record breaking Confessions that was certified diamond.

Sometimes, the fever gets our mind a-hazy and we forget that little Biebs is in transition stage, and soon this charming little boy will be a facial hair having, six-pack sporting man, that is if Usher is also monitoring his work out regimen.
While Bieber has not yet hit this level of fame, Usher is the man with the plan that will guide him there. Voice changes and mediocre AMAs performances aside, this is a crucial time for Justin, but if he knows the perfect time to gracefully accept his fast approaching manhood, then the faithful Beliebers will follow close behind and bring his fame to unimaginable heights.
The little boy who gave the nation Bieber fever can’t die down and once he is of legal age, I’ll be there swooning as well.
