Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry shocked the ears of many, especially young voters, when he claimed the voting age was 21!

At New Hampshire College Saint Anselm he said, “Those of you who will be 21 by November the 12th, I ask for your support and your vote…”

Seems like Perry missed 1971, when the Supreme Court actually set the national voting age at 18. In addition, he also forgot that the presidential election date is not on the 12th of November.

In his address to the college students he simply asked that those who fell below the age of 21 to work during campaign season, on his behalf.

Perry’s campaign spokesman Paul Young told the press that Perry “misspoke.”

We ain’t buyin’ it.

This isn’t the first time the Texas Governor slipped up.

In the third Republican presidential candidate debate he said that he would cut three federal agencies and when he got to the third one, he forgot what it was saying, “Ooops.”

Rick better brush up on his facts if he wants to be president. P.S. Rick, the general election is actually November 6th!
