Wayne Joshua Mitchell, 20, died when he decided to swallow cocaine to save his brother from being put behind bars.

Wayne’s brother Deangelo, 23, pressured Wayne into swallowing the cocaine hidden in his behind while they were in the back of a police car and cops were searching their vehicle.
Deangelo told his brother:
“You gonna eat it, you gonna chew it… You ain’t got no strike… I can get you out… I can’t afford another strike. You the only one that don’t have no strikes… You my lil’ brother… I’m gonna get life… You gonna unwrap it? Want me to hand you it?”

Wayne then told Deangelo “I love you bro” and swallowed the drug. Moments later he appeared to have a hard time breathing and holding his head up. He was taken to a local hospital, but doctors were unable to save Wayne.
Deangelo told police his brother swallowed the drugs, though he did not explain where it came from. He is now being charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Swallowing cocaine is always a foolish thing to do, no matter the circumstance. It’s sad that Wayne went out showing loyalty to his brother in the wrong way.
