Ryan Leslie: Making videos.
What’s your favorite store?
Opening Ceremony.
And, your favorite brand?
Seems too cliché to say Balmain. I think I’ll actually say, Devon Scott. He’s a New York based menswear designer of color that I’m going to be working with.
What’s you favorite thing about traveling?
Learning languages.
Favorite thing about your hometown?
I don’t have a hometown. That’s my favorite thing about it. (laughs) I have so many hometowns. I grew up in so many hometowns.
Your favorite rapper?
Well, the rapper that I listen to most often is myself. I think everyone’s favorite rapper should be themselves, unless they don’t rap.
What’s you favorite food?
Lemon chicken with brown rice and string beans and potatoes. That’s a hearty meal.
What is your favorite moment in your career thus far?
It’s actually the moment everyday when I wake up, and daydream about the world’s response to what I’ve created.
What’s your least favorite thing about always traveling?
TSA… TSA, baby! I get to fly private and it’s so awesome (laughs) because there’s no TSA.
Do you have a most prized possession?
Yes, my catalogue.
What’s the first thing you do in the morning when you wake up?
Daydream.
You don’t check your phone first?
Nope!
Are you a Blackberry of iPhone user?
iPhone!
And if you had to go to a deserted island and bring three things, what would they be?
My girl, a camera and a knife.
