It’s been nearly three years since Chris Brown assaulted then girlfriend Rihanna on the weekend of the 51st Annual Grammy Awards. For obvious reasons the pop star hasn’t attended a Grammy show since.

Well, that’s all about to change.

According to RadarOnline, Chris Brown will make his return to the awards show this year, performing at the 54th Grammy Awards ceremony, which will air on February 12th.

Chris is nominated for three awards: Best R&B Album, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.

An unnamed source who is close to Brown had this to say about the situation:

“Chris has complied with all terms of his probation and has completed most of his court ordered community service. He has been a model probationer, but more importantly, Chris accepted responsibility for what he did. Chris took that experience and vowed to learn from it and become a better person, and he was thrilled and truly humbled that he was nominated for three Grammys.”

The source then when on to detail what the R&B singer hopes he will be able to do on February 12th.

“Chris absolutely plans on attending the Grammys and is in talks with producers of the show to possibly perform. Chris performed at the MTV Video Music Awards several months ago, and his performance was simply over the top as he was flying through the air like an acrobat. Chris’ performance stole the show, and he would love to do something at the Grammy’s to top his VMA performance.”

Rihanna has also been nominated for three awards and is expected to attend the show as well. Judging by all of RiRi and Chris’s subliminal tweets back and forth over the past few weeks, we think these two will have no problem seeing each other at the event.

Plus, we can’t wait to see them either!
