Thank God for broken hearts. We say this because broken hearts have been the catalyst for some of music’s greatest musical moments.

In comes Katy Perry.

DETAILS: Was Russell Brand Hinting At Divorce Back In November?

A couple of days ago, rumors started spreading that Katy was in the studio writing songs for her soon to be ex-husband, Russell Brand.

If it’s true, we cannot wait for this material to surface because chances are it’s going to be personal, emotional and awesome.

How do we know?

DETAILS: 808s & Heartbreaks! Katy Is Pulling A Kanye In The Studio

We’ve seen this before from our celebrities.

Power musical couples break up all the time and they end up putting their all in their art.

So, here’s our favorite men-bashing, f*ck you songs dedicated to real celebrities we know.

Check it out!

Pink – “So What”

Dedicated toCarey Hart

Pink and Carey Heart are now back together and have a new daughter to show for it. But, at one point, their relationship was real rocky, to the point where Pink recorded a song about her husband, who she called a “tool.”

Sheryl Crow – “My Favorite Mistake”

Dedicated to:  Eric Clapton

“My Favorite Mistake” is a song about a woman who gets cheated on by her boyfriend. For years, it has been rumored that the song is autobiographical and the boyfriend who was cheating on Crow was none other than Eric Clapton himself.

Alanis Morissette – “You Oughta Know”

Dedicated to: David Coulier

The name Dave Coulier might not be familiar to you, so we’ll call him by his different alias: Joey from Full House.  And, apparently, Joey from Full House must have broke Alanis Morissette’s heart something fierce, because “You Oughta Know” is scathing.

Lauryn Hill – “Ex-Factor”

Dedicated to: Wyclef Jean

Really, the entire The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is just one long middle finger to ex-boyfriend and ex-Fugees member Wyclef Jean. However, it’s Hill’s haunting and heartbreaking “Ex-Factor” that probably stings the most for Wyclef.

No Doubt – “Ex-Girlfriend”

Dedicated to: Gavin Rossdale

No Doubt’s lead singer, Gwen Stefani and Bush’s Gavin Rossdale are still together with two kids, but their relationship wasn’t always peachy. Gwen penned “Ex-Girlfriend” when things were at their worst.

Jennifer Lopez, Ja Rule & Cadillac Tah – “Ain’t it Funny (Murda Remix)”

Dedicated toP. Diddy

While Diddy was doing “I Need a Girl” type of records for J.Lo, the Bronx beauty wasn’t having that. She fired indirect shots on the “Ain’t it Funny (Murda Remix).”

Rihanna – Cold Case Love

Dedicated to: Chris Brown

Rihanna had this to say about Rated R’s “Cold Case: “It’s a song that everybody wanted to hear, everything that I didn’t say for the past eight months, exactly how I felt about that relationship and how I feel about it now — that song says it all.”

Katy Perry – “Circle The Drain”

Dedicated to: Travie McCoy

Katy Perry and Travis McCoy had a relationship that culminated with the Gym Class Heroes front man giving the pop star a promise ring. When things went wrong, Katy released this angry song that she called her “‘You Oughta Know,’ Alanis Morissette moment.”

Taylor Swift  – “Forever & Always”

Dedicated to: Joe Jonas

Man, do not piss Taylor Swift off. She’ll throw you in a song. It’s something that the wholesome Joe Jonas found out when things fell apart between him and the country singer.

Kelis – “Caught Out There”

Dedicated to: Pharrell

Don’t disrespect Kelis’ gangsta. For years it has been rumored that Kelis’ angry “Caught Out There” was a diss song to Pharrell…who also produced the record.
