Goodbye, Jon!

Former ambassador to China and Republican Presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman is announcing his withdrawal from the race Monday, according to his campaign manager Matt David.

STORY: Winning! Mitt Romney’s Big Victory In New Hampshire

According to the Associated Press, Huntsman will be endorsing the Republican Presidential hopeful and front runner Mitt Romney. Officials of Huntsman’s campaign say the endorsement comes from believing Romney is “the best candidate to beat Obama.”

The official announcement of withdrawal will be in South Carolina, at an event in Myrtle Beach.

Huntsman, a former ambassador appointed by President Obama, was seen as the moderate amongst the other Republican contenders. Throughout the campaign he flaunted his ability to speak Chinese and labeled himself as the man who can rise above partisan politics.

This withdrawal comes as a big shock considering South Carolina’s largest newspaper, The State, just endorsed Huntsman for President.

A bit scary to see the only moderate drop out of the Republican primaries!
