San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kyle Williams has been facing death threats over his lost fumble against the N.Y. Giants in overtime during the NFC championship – effectively costing his team the game.

Williams fumbled in overtime to set up Lawrence Tynes’ 31-yard field goal; as a result, the 49ers lost the NFC championship game to the New York Giants 20-17.
After the game Williams didn’t run from the reporters, saying:
“You hate to be the last guy that had the ball, to give it away in that fashion and to lose a game of this magnitude. It is what it is. We’re going to move forward as a team. Everyone has come to pat me on the back and the shoulder to say it’s not me.”
His teammates have his back no doubt, but not the 49er faithful. The tweets were coming fast and furious as death threats to Williams took over Twitter.
