Simon Cowell put a stop to the rumor mill and discussed who could and definitely won’t be occupying a judges seat on X-Factor season 2.
The English panel judge and creator of the talent competition show sat down with Extra and set the record straight on a few names that have been popping up all over the dot com.

The most surprising of them all: new mommy Beyonce Knowles, who was reportedly offered $100million/year (for 5 years) to come on board.
Cowell immediately squashed the hype:
“No I have no idea where this rumor came from. I read it online that I had offered her $100million/year. It’s complete nonsense. The budget of the show is $100 million. No one’s gonna pay $100million/year for someone.”
When asked if Mariah Carey, an additional rumored replacement, would be taking a seat at the judge’s panel Simon replied:
“She’s not on the list. I don’t think Mariah would make that commitment…. She just had kids…. And you’ve got to do all the traveling as well.”
