Joan Smalls popped up on our radar during New York Fashion Week when the Puerto Rican model walked a total of 16 shows for some of the biggest names in the industry.
Following her runway blazing, Joan has cropped up on the cover of her very first Vogue issue this month. The New Yorker is featured on the cover of the Italian version of Vogue with a hash tagged #overthetop, and over the top she is.
Joan is sporting a look, dare we say it, reminiscent of a costume from a Beyonce music video. Complete with dramatic OTT nail designs and stunning eye makeup, the cover is a beautiful one, but is rivaled by Joan’s cover and feature in the Spring issue of Pop Magazine.
Pop took Joans’ look to a Technicolor level, featuring the model in an array of paint smeared photos artfully photoshopped to mimic a collage.
