Things aren’t looking too good for Lamar Odom

The NBA star has been demoted to play at least one game in the D-League before he can be considered ready to play with his Dallas Mavericks teammates again.

VIDEO: Lamar Odom’s Father Speaks Out!

According to ESPN.com, Lamar has been assigned to play with the Texas Legends, and he will be in full uniform for their home game on Saturday.

A source says he is playing for the team in order to “get his legs back under him.”

The last game Khloe Kardashian’s hubby played with the Mavs was February 20th. He had to miss playing against his old teammates on the Lakers due to his father being hospitalized.

This new plan for Lamar is to get him back into shape mentally and physically after the games he’s missed.

DETAILS: The Real Reason Khloe Kardashian Rushed To Hospital Revealed

There have also been rumors that the Mavericks want to buy out Lamar, but owner Mark Cuban shot those rumors down:

We’re not going to buy out anybody, there’s no reason to do it. We’re not going to do that. That’s not the way we work. We try to find what the problem is and fix it.

We hope that Lamar can get back into shape soon so he can rejoin his team.
