On Whitney: “She was basically the little girl that I never had.”

On dealing with the tragic loss: “I’m heading towards being okay. You know, I have not had an opportunity to really mourn or completely breakdown, which I will do, I know that. I think the comfort comes in knowing that she’s in good hands now. She’s in the best hands right now.”

On Cissy: “I am so proud of her. She’s really holding up so very well. She has her moments, of course and will continue to have her moments but she has, I think she’s come to terms with it, just about now. It’s gonna take quite a bit of time.

On the last time she spoke to Whitney: “I spoke to Whitney on the day that she passed. Um, I spoke to her that morning and she said ‘you’re here aren’t you?’ and I said ‘yeah, I’m here.’ She had called me at home in Jersey. ‘You’re coming to the party aren’t you,’ said Whitney. I said ‘yeah, I’m gonna be there.’ She [Whitney] said ‘Thank you, you gotta be here. I want you here for me.’ And I spoke to her that afternoon once I landed in LA and that was it. She was so up and ready and happy.”

On Bobby Kristina: “That’s the one thing that I love about my family, we are family. So she [Bobbi Kristina] has the support that she actually needs.”

Warwick had such kind and lovely words for Whitney’s family. Rest in Peace Whitney.
