Now the New York Civil Liberties Union have tallied up the figures and determined which precincts and what sections of NYC are most privy to the questionable practice.

The NYCLU’s findings revealed that the 75 Precinct in East New York Brooklyn came in as the number one place that you are likely to get stopped and frisked.

According to NYPD documents, the main reasons for a stop include “carrying a suspicious object” or “casing a victim or location.” While a frisk can also occur because of “inappropriate attire off season” or “furtive movements.”
The problem with stop and frisk is that it targets everybody in certain neighborhoods, particularly if they’re a person of color.
NYPD spokesman Paul Browne says, “Stops reduce crime and save lives.” Actually, it most likely leads to resentment and anger towards the NYPD for people living in those targeted neighborhoods.
