Former boxing champion Hector “Macho” Camacho, 49, has been accused of child abuse and arrested.

Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office filed a child abuse charge against Camacho, who turned himself into authorities this week.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Camacho is accused of picking up his son by the neck, slamming him on the ground and stomping him during an altercation at his ex-wife’s home on March 22, 2011.
Camacho was reportedly angry about money in a bag he thought he left at the residence days prior.
The boy told authorities Camacho yelled at him, then threw him down and stomped on his foot.
When a deputy asked the boy why his father was upset, he replied, “He was high on drugs.” Court records show prosecutors filed the charge against Camacho in November.
Camacho turned himself into the Orange County Jail on Monday, posted $5,000 bond and was released.
