Last week when news that Kanye West was dating Kim Kardashian hit the internet, I explained to people that they were the new Jay-Z and Beyonce. I knew the stans from Beyonce‘s Beyhive would swarm me, wish death upon my soul, and call me every name in the book and … they did.

Let me just say that I wasn’t trying to compare Kim Kardashian to Beyonce. Sure, they’re both queens. Beyonce is like God in the field of music and there is no denying Kim K. is the ruler of all things Reality TV. But that’s where it ends.
Now a week after my blog, we get word that Kanye thinks Kim could be his Beyonce. I’m not going to sit here and say Kim can’t hold down Yeezie in ways that we cannot begin to fathom, but the idea is a Russell Simmons advanced yoga stretch away from being plausible. Downward dog!
I’m sure Kim and ‘Ye could become a happy couple. I’m rooting for them, but I’m thinking they will be more like La La and Carmelo. Two successful lovers who support each other to the fullest. I can totally see Kim cheering Yeezie from the front row as he performs for a packed house.

I want Yeezie’s love with Kim to prosper to the point where their relationship can resemble Snooki and Jionni, Scott Disick and Kourtney, maybe even Lamar and Khloe – but not Jay-Z and Beyonce.

Can Kim Kardashian ever be someone’s Beyonce? Now that I think of it, I am sure Kim can be a loyal wife, successful in her field and one of the finest women the world has ever seen, so … Who am I to say she can’t be Kanye’s Beyonce. #XillaShrug
