The man who accused Syracuse University assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine of molesting him says it was all lies.

STORY: NOT AGAIN! Syracuse Basketball Coach Bernie Fine Investigated For Child Molestation!

Zachary Tomaselli of Lewiston, Maine says he lied when he accused Bernie Fine of molesting him.

Tomaselli said Friday that he fabricated the allegations and took pride in his ability to convince people his claims were true.

Tomaselli told the Associated Press he’s a “habitual liar and sociopath” who lacks feelings for others.

Tomaselli wrote in an email to CNY Central of Syracuse:

“It has become a burden of a lie and I am sick of it. Bobby Davis told me what to tell detectives and it pretty much took off from there. The evidence that supports me is just pure luck, not real evidence. I made the ENTIRE thing up. I have never met Bernie in my life.”

Tomaselli continued:

“It was a game to me. It was fun trying to make this story come alive,” he told the station in a phone call. I was told by Bobby Davis what kind of porn Bernie likes. So I would add we were watching lesbian porn and going on and on. But, it didn’t pan out because of my school records, there was a hole I didn’t fill.”

Two other men made accusations against Fine, but prosecutors say too much time had passed to consider charges related to their allegations.

Federal prosecutors examining Tomaselli’s claim did not comment. A district attorney said in December that evidence undercut Tomaselli’s credibility.

Fine has not been charged and has denied the abuse claims. His attorney declined comment Friday.

Tomaselli begins serving a prison sentence next week for molesting a boy in Maine.
