Earlier today we learned that George Zimmerman requested a private meeting with Trayvon Martin‘s family.

Trayvon’s parents Tracey Martin and Sybrina Fulton, learned of Zimmerman’s request today while they attended a press conference at a church in Tampa.

DETAILS: George Zimmerman Request To Meet With Trayvon’s Parents

The Tampa Times reports they will not grant that request any time soon!

Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton were informed of George Zimmerman’s request for a meeting on the eve of his bail hearing Friday.

But now, Benjamin Crump, the family’s attorney said, is not the time for such a meeting.

“Some crimes on their face are non-bondable offense. Second-degree murder is one of them,” Crump said. “We didn’t just demand an arrest to have George Zimmerman give the police his fingerprints and his mug shot.”

The family received a warm welcome as a group of about 400 people gave their condolences and offered their support in getting justice for Trayvon during a town hall meeting at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church.

As we reported earlier Zimmerman’s lawyer Mark O’Mara said:

“I’ve talked a couple of times about the conversation that, hopefully, will occur directly to the Martin family, a private conversation. To the community, I think he would just say don’t prejudge him.”

Zimmerman is due back in court for a hearing on Friday that could determine whether a bail is set that could lead to his release from jail before trial.

“We stand on legal, public safety and moral grounds to solidify our position that Zimmerman should be held without bond until these matters are concluded,” Crump said.

“Sybrina is a Christian lady and Tracy — they are good people, and there may be a time and place for that, but not now.”
