Ohio resident Stephanie Miller was emotional when she had the chance to meet President Obama this week. During her quick face-to-face with the Commander-in-Chief, the Ohio voter personally thanked the President for passing a health care overhaul, relating the story of her late sister’s battle with cancer.

Miller told reporters her sister passed away from colon cancer four years ago, partly because she could not purchase health insurance.

“I thanked him for the getting the Affordable Health Act passed,” she told reporters, referring to the health care overhaul the Supreme Court upheld last week. She continued, “Even after she was diagnosed with cancer, she was told her income was too high for Medicaid.”
