The death of Sage Stallone, son to Sylvester Stallone, is getting less mysterious each day as details emerge.

It turns out, the body of Sage was not found until 3 or 4 days after his overdose in his home in LA.

DETAILS: More Details Emerge Over The Death Of Sage Stallone

According to TMZ, Sage “lived like Howard Hughes” in a room “littered with junk” and no one was in touch with him, so his body could have been left unfound for up to a week.

Fortunately, his mother set up a maid to head over and that’s when his body was found.

The site reports:

Our sources say Sage was living like a hermit … no one had spoken with him since a week ago Friday. Although the housekeeper had been there earlier this week, she had specific ongoing instructions never to enter Sage’s room. In fact, we’re told the housekeeper was told to never even knock at the door.

One law enforcement source called the room “disgusting,” saying it reeked of various smells.

We’re told Sage’s mother called the housekeeper yesterday after being unable to reach him, asking her to stop by and check on him. That’s when she discovered the body.

DETAILS: Sylvester Stallone’s Son, Sage Stallone, Dead At 36

We’re glad that Sage’s mother thought to send a housekeeper, so that his body wasn’t left for a whole week.

We pray for the Stallone family and send our condolences during this tragic time.
