Shortly after the shooting, reports claimed that the gunman was a bald white man wearing a sleeveless shirt and holding two guns.

Now, after speculation, more information has begun to surface about the gunman identified as Wade Michael Page, 40, who lived just five miles from the temple.

While a motive for the shooting has not yet been determined, new information about Wade’s personal life points to the direct racial motivation of the shooting.

Here is the 411 on everything you need to know about the Wisconsin gunman Wade Michael Page:

– Wade Michael Page served in the U.S. Army for about six years. According to sources in the Army, Page enlisted in April 1992 and was given a less-than-honorable discharge in October 1998.

– Records show that Page was the registered inhabitant at an apartment in South Milwaukee from December 2011 until the present, and neighbors claimed to have often over heard arguments between Wade and a female, but say that he does not interact with them much.

– The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has reported Wade as a member of the neo-Nazi band called “End Apathy” based out of Northern Carolina.

– According to an interview with the white supremacist website, Label56.com, Wade was the front man of a one man band called “End Apathy.” In the interview, he claimed his inspiration was “based on frustration that we have the potential to accomplish so much more as individuals and a society in whole,” and claimed that his music featured lyrics with “topics vary[ing] from sociological issues, religion, and how the value of human life has been degraded by being submissive to tyranny and hypocrisy that we are subjugated to.”

– In the same interview with Label56.com, Wade detailed his life journey from his hometown of Colorado that later led him to the White Power movement, stating: “I am originally from Colorado and had always been independent, but back in 2000 I set out to get involved and wanted to basically start over. So, I sold everything I owned except for my motorcycle and what I could fit into a backpack and went on cross country trip visiting friends and attending festivals and shows. I went to the Hammerfest 2000 in Georgia, over to North Carolina, up to Ohio, down to West Virginia, and out to California and that’s when I joined Youngland.”

– Wade has also played in other hate rock bands that include Youngland (2001-2003), Celtic Warrior, Radikahl, Max Resist, Intimidation One, Aggressive Force and Blue Eyed Devils.

-According to The Southern Poverty Law Center, in 2000, Wade also attempted to purchase goods from the neo-Nazi National Alliance, then America’s most important hate group.
