Delaware pediatrician Melvin Morse has been accused of holding his 11-year-old daughter’s face under a faucet, in a tactic called waterboarding, all while the girl’s mother allegedly watched.

STORY: Really?!? Florida Man Tells Police “I Only Shot A N*gger!”

Morse is a well-known researcher in near-death experiences, according to officials.

Officials in Georgetown, Del., arrested Dr. Melvin Morse and his wife Pauline at their home on Monday and charged them with reckless endangerment, conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a child.

The charges stem from an incident of domestic assault, which occurred on July 12. There, Morse was accused of grabbing his daughter by the ankles and dragging her across the driveway into the house, where he then spanked her, according to NBC Philadelphia.

Officials arrested Morse a few days later and charged him with endangering the welfare of a child, and assault. He was released after meeting his $750 secured bail. Investigators said that the 11-year-old was brought to the Child Advocacy Center and interviewed on Aug. 6.

Police told WBOC TV that during the questioning, the girl claimed that since May 2009, her father disciplined her using waterboarding, on at least four occasions.

This is horrifying and sick. We pray the young girl gets the care she so desperately needs and deserves.
