Today is Pink aka Alecia Moore’s 31st birthday! The Philly native was first introduced to music by her dad, and by age 13, was already performing at local clubs in Philly. Fast forward a few years, Pink first debuted on the music scene in 2000 with the album, “Cant Take Me Home” with the hit single, “There You Go” scoring her first top ten hit. Following her first album, Pink went on to release ‘Missundaztood’ featuring one of my favorite songs, ‘Get This Party Started’.

She won a Grammy for the remake of “Lady Marmalade” alongside Mya, Lil Kim and Christina Aguilera for the soundtrack to the movie, Moulin Rouge in 2001. She then went on to release “Try This” in 2003; “I’m Not Dead” in 2006 and “Funhouse “in 2008 with hit singles including “So What” and “Glitter in the Air”. Pink has also been featured in a few films including roles in the movies Rollerball and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and a leading role in the horror movie, Catacombs.

Check out pics of the feisty punk/R&B singer throughout the years from her punk rock chic days until now!
