Victor Cruz has been through a lot and come out on top!
Cruz was just an average kid from Patterson, New Jersey, who flunked out of school and had been working at a mall near the Jersey suburb before the NFL was even an option.
To put it simply, Victor never thought that being in the NFL was within reach, but with a lot of hard work and dedication, he managed to not only make it to the league, but assisted the New York Giants in winning a Super Bowl last year!
“I was just trying to get my life back together. The NFL was so far-fetched at the time,” Cruz tells GQ in the magazine’s September issue.
The 25-year old wide receiver suited up for the magazine’s accompanying spread, shot by Ben Watts in NYC, and we have to admit that Victor looks great in a suit.
To top the interview off, GQ asked if Victor could demonstrate his signature, hip-swinging, Silk City Salsa touchdown dance, but he politely declined by simply saying:
“I put it to bed for now.”
