Bill Clinton is a master. And last night he gave master class. As I sat in the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, perched just above where POTUS 42 delivered his remarks, I had the angle to see his teleprompter. To see him weave in and out of his prepared remarks and the remarks that he actually delivered was like Allen Iverson’s cross-over in ’96. What was remarkable was that Bill Clinton’s prepared remarks were 3,136 words. Bill Clinton’s remarks as delivered: 5,895 words. And my man was ad-libbing stats. No fact-checker needed. Professional jedi-master.

The energy in Charlotte makes Tampa look like a high school scrimmage. I couldn’t find one Romney/Ryan t-shirt on the streets of the Floridian city. In Charlotte, you can buy pretty much any household item with Obama’s face on it. The enthusiasm in this city is like a Jay/Kanye concert. And when Barack walked onstage after Bill spoke…well, what more can I say? Yesterday morning, when Michelle Obama walked into the Black and Hispanic caucuses, it was as if the Beatles had arrived. Michelle-o-Mania! The old ladies were going b-a-n-a-n-a-s and h.a.m. These are the leaders of the Democratic Party. These are the incredible people that will move this country forward.

I have been humbled many times during the first two days of the convention. I have witnessed greatness and got to the shake their hands afterward. Last night as I was leaving the arena, I was able to meet Lilly Ledbetter and thank her for what she has done for us. Just thanks. Lots of thanks to give during the past few days. For people who have paved the way for us. Our generation. To take us forward. Barack. Tonight. Watch The Throne.
