Nakoula Basseley Nakoula is all over the media right now because of his involvement in the production of the film “Innocence of Muslims,” which is believed to have been the catalyst behind pushing Libyan rebels to attack the US Embassy.

Police officials went to the home of Nakoula in Cerritos, California, to protect him as well as his family. An L.A. County Sheriff’s spokesperson, Steve Whitmore, wouldn’t comment on specifics but was quoted saying,

I’m not going to get into specifics of the call but yes, there was some need for our presence to be here to provide safety.

Anti-Islam Filmmaker, Sam Bacile, In Hiding After Protests (DETAILS)

It was recently revealed that Nakoula was the film’s producer after he led reporters on a witch hunt for “Sam Bacile,” whose contact information could be traced to the location where Nakoula was found.

Nakoula served 21 months in federal prison for check fraud in 2009, during this time Nikoula worked on the majority of the script, if not all of it.

Nakoula lives at the home, which is now being protected, with his wife and 14-year-old son while his two elder children are away at college.
