Welcome back to the week. Monday is here and we hope that you are ready to take the day on head first.  Thankfully we have a few less-than-strenuous things for you to do today, especially if you happen to be in Cape Town, South Africa. The best part of it all is that everything we found won’t cost you anything at all.  Check it all out below!

Visit The Imhoff Farm:

Imhoff Farm is an all-in-one farmyard, snake park and petting zoo, situated on the south peninsula, near Cape Point. It provides pretty much everything from craft shops to camel rides for everyone in your family from your kids to the big kid in you. Camel rides on the beach can’t be that bad – especially when it’s free of charge!

Visit The Houses of Parliament:

Back in 1878, Charles Freeman won the grand sum of £250 prize money for his proposed design of the Houses of Parliament, but things went horribly pear shaped (costs ended up double what the government had bargained for) and Harry Greaves ended up finishing the job in 1885. These buildings have seen their fair share of action through the years, one of the most memorable events being when former prime minister and apartheid devotee, Hendrik Verwoerd, was stabbed to death during a parliamentary session by Dimitri Tsafendas, who later explained that a tapeworm had instructed him to do it. These days, armed with your ID or passport, you can watch a parliamentary sitting unfold from one of the gallery seats, or take a guided tour through the building and find out how this whole democracy thing actually works.

Financial Tip Of The Day

Think About Curb Appeal

Before you put your home on the market, plant a daisy or two. Simple landscaping should cost less than $500 but will increase your sale price by a couple grand. You can also put a coat of fresh paint on the front door, turn up the wattage in your lamps, and hire a pro to deep clean.
