Last night during a senate debate for the Massachusetts seat, incumbent Republican Sen. Scott Brown announced that he viewed Antonin Scalia as a “model” Supreme Court Justice.

This was shocking being that Justice Scalia is a far right conservative whose views vastly contradict with Brown’s, who portrays himself as a moderate Republican.
Realizing that he slipped up, Brown then commended other Supreme Court Justices for their work. The moderator asked him to clarify which justice Brown would like to settle on, pointing out that Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Scalia have very different views. That’s when Brown responded, saying that he does not need to answer the original question by picking one justice as the model.
“Listen, I don’t need to pick one, we have plenty of justices up there and I’m proud of the ones we have.”
His opponent, Democrat Elizabeth Warren, beamed with joy at Brown’s answer, knowing the effect it will have on Democratic voters.
After the debate, Warren said she was “amazed” by Brown’s answer. So are we!
