While speaking at a star-studded fundraiser in Los Angeles on Sunday, President Obama joked about his performance at the first presidential debate last week, which both critics and supporters agree was dry and lacked luster.

Speaking to an audience that included Hollywood entertainers at the Nokia Theater, he commended the celebrities at the “30 Days To Victory” concert for their ability to pull off consecutive flawless performances, admitting that is something that he can’t always do.

“Everybody here are great professionals and they’re such great friends adn they just perform flawlessly night after night. I can’t always say the same.”

The stars in attendance at the fundraiser dinner included George Clooney, Jennifer Hudson, Katy Perry, Jon Bon Jovi, and Stevie Wonder. It was part of the President’s two-day fundraising tour in California. He also attended a private event with former President Bill Clinton at the home of producer Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Obama’s performance at Wednesday’s night debate was a major disappointment, but not only does Obama know how to admit a loss, but he’s not afraid to poke fun at himself, either!
